A hunting service for quail, pheasant, chukar and wild turkey just 6 miles East and 1 1/2 miles North of Columbus, Kansas and only 5 miles from the Missouri line or 15 miles from Oklahoma. 685 of some of the finest natural habitat along the Shawnee Creek which includes grain fields of corn, milo and sunflowers, natural bird fields and over 10 miles of filter strips. The perfect setting for a wing shooter.

Running Roosters Hunting Resort raises all of our own quail, pheasant and chukar. We're looking to raise 35,000 quail for the 2008 season.

Running Rooster Hunting Resort is family owned and operated by Rex and Sandy Mercer. They have been accommodating hunters for the last 4 years as a business. Rex's family has been training dogs for 65 years, while Rex has been training himself for over 20 years. The family has tried every method new and old to find the best training methods available.
